Referrals are the best way to create new business! We are a group of hard working business owners, dedicated to the growth of our network by building strong relationships.

Relationship building and creating new business is our core goal!


The GPBG is a group of professionals looking to grow their business relationships and create a network of strong referrals.

For businesses within Peterborough County.

Our group is over five years old and growing! Our aim is to secure representation from each business type or industry segment. We allow one business per category at any given time to keep our network fair and balanced. For the first four years, there were no fees associated with our group. However as we continue to grow, develop offerings, have special events and occasional business speakers, endure administrative costs, and perhaps require a larger space to meet – a small yearly fee of $99 for regular members and $199 for sponsorship members has now been implemented starting as of January 2023. Please note: Our group is for registered businesses within The City of Peterborough and Peterborough County only, for business to business networking and referrals – not causes, political affiliations, groups or otherwise. Thank you.

We meet on the third Thursday of every month, with a break July.

Being part of our referral group means a strong commitment to the group – and to each other. Members are asked to attend a network meeting once a month, for 1hr, on the third Thursday morning from 9:00am to 10:00am. We have social evenings from 7:00pm to 9pm once per quarter.


We all have busy schedules and being part of this group involves prioritizing this meeting as part of your weekly business acumen so everyone benefits together.

What can I expect?

Our Bi-weekly Meeting Agenda

  • 9:00 - 9:10

    MEETING BEGINS


    Meetings will start at 9:00AM SHARP. Attendance will be taken and successful referral information will be gathered by our meeting manager.

  • 9:10 - 9:35

    SHARE YOUR BUSINESS


    The first half hour is dedicated to allowing each business 2-3 minutes to introduce themeselves and share information about what they do and the products and/or services they offer. This allows members to get to know one another and gain a better understanding of each business.

  • 9:35 - 9:45

    PRESENTATION


    During each meeting, one business will present more detailed information about themselves. This can take the form of either a general discussion or a digital presentation. We encourage presentors to bring any relavant marketing materials they have available to share with the group.

  • 9:45-10:00

    LET'S CONNECT


    The remainder of our meeting will be used to connect with one another, discuss recent business events, develop new relationships, and plan any upcoming social events.
